my story

Kaori Konishikawa

Embroidery has been a part of my life since childhood.

I grew up wearing handmade clothes created by my mother, each adorned with rich and beautiful embroidery—precious memories that quietly shaped the path I walk today.

Before moving to Paris, I worked in an office in Tokyo while enjoying embroidery as a personal passion.
In 2016, after relocating to France, I chose to fully dedicate myself to this art form.

I completed the full embroidery program at École Lesage in Paris, from level 1 through level 8.
From 2018 to 2024, I worked at ULTRAMOD, a historic haberdashery in Paris, while continuing to create my own pieces.

Since 2024, I have been working independently as a full-time embroidery artist.

My approach to embroidery is spontaneous and intuitive.
I work with threads, beads, and sometimes unexpected materials—drawing inspiration from nature and often incorporating poetic words into my designs.

My inspiration flows from travel, meaningful encounters, cherished memories, films, music, and the nature I so deeply love.

Through my creations, I tell stories.
It is a form of pure storytelling, shaped by a myriad of cultural influences that have helped define both who I am and the art I create.

I pour my heart into every piece.
If my embroidery can bring someone warmth, a sense of romance, or a quiet moment of peace, then I am truly happy.

With each creation, I hope to brighten someone’s heart—even just for a moment—and offer a small feeling of tenderness.

My atelier is based in Paris.
